St Dominic and St Michael the Archangel Parish (Liubar)
Liubar
About the parish
Before the revolution of 1917, this church belonged to the Dominican Fathers, who cared for the shrine.
During the Second World War, when Hitler’s army entered Ukraine and the settlement of Liubar, the church was partially destroyed: a bomb demolished its roof.
The church basement was later used as a prison where captives were tortured and executed.
In 1990, through the efforts of the faithful and clergy, the church was returned and restored.
