About the parish
The village of Osykove in the Zhytomyr region was founded in 1900. Local Catholics had no church of their own. Following the revival of religious life and the legalisation of the Roman Catholic Church in independent Ukraine, they therefore had to use a chapel established in a private house.
Construction of a new masonry church in Osykove continues, although most of the work has been completed. Local Catholics are served by diocesan priests from St Barbara Parish in Berdychiv.
