Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Parish (Zviahel)

In 1992, Fr Vikentii Vitko purchased a property containing a former kindergarten. Holy Mass was initially celebrated there, and a parish began to form among residents of the surrounding neighbourhood. The location was convenient because of the nearby bus station, making the church easy to reach from any part of the city. The parish quickly took shape, and the number of faithful grew.

The new church was built between 2001 and 2010 and dedicated on 25 September 2010. Construction was begun in 2001 by the parish priest, Fr Vitalii Bezshkuryi, to a design by Mr Petro Perevoznyk. The parish has 550 parishioners.
